A REMINDER ABOUT LIVESTOCK IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD

Per the Olney Mill covenants, animals such as chickens, llamas, alpacas, or other farm/barnyard critters are not permitted to be kept anywhere inside or outside neighborhood residences.

New from DataMontgomery - Get detailed data on any aspect of life in Montgomery County, including the embedded Crime Incidents Map here. Just about any question you have can be answered factually here.

Updated daily to weekly depending on dataset.

Want to have real data about county housing? What about crime rates around Olney? Ready to see exactly how the budget works or where to get a permit for specialty vehicle?

DataMontgomery has recently completed some legitimate data collection and visualization upgrades and the new website is a very useful and expansive repository for anything Montgomery County tracks, provides, regulates, or enforces.

Look around for a few minutes or waste six hours on a weekend evening rummaging through it (not that I did that or anything) - this is a tremendous resource for any resident with questions or interest in the government.

Notice Regarding Short-Term Rental Concerns

The OMCA, along with several other HOAs across the county, has received several inquiries and concerns regarding daily/nightly rentals by individual homeowners and/or renters for parties or other events in single-family occupied homes within neighborhoods.

We remind all homeowners that per the legally-binding OMCA Covenants, Conditions, & Restrictions (CCRs) filed with the county and the State of Maryland, all homes within Olney Mill can be used for residential purposes exclusively.

When purchasing a home in Olney Mill, you become an association member and part of a community that seeks to promote the recreation, safety, and welfare of its fellow members and residents.

Please alert the OMCA to any public listings or postings promoting these types of rentals within Olney Mill, and reach out to us if you have any questions.
