Our neighborhood park renovations are entering the next phase on Monday, March 17 (St. Patrick’s Day). The Olney Family Neighborhood Park (better known as the Willow Grove Park) will close for renovation and construction. To see what upgrades and changes are being made, check out Montgomery Parks’ detailed Playground Renovation Project page (montgomeryparks.org).
The Charline Manor Park (or Olney Mill Neighborhood Park) construction has slowed (as you’ve probably noticed) since the turn of the calendar year. Fear not, Easter Egg Hunt participants! The work has been pushed back about a month and is expected to be completed by “mid-March.”
You can view the progress of the renovation and have a look at the process of getting these two parks upgraded within a year. We’re very happy that we had the support of good people at Montgomery Parks and The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission and proud to be able to contribute to the story of the neighborhood.
